Whats Up Everyone In Todays Video I Just

received a 3d pen from Tip I. I ordered this through Amazon and Tip I asked me to do a review on it and an on-boxing and kind of use it and show how it works. I’ve had 3d pens before and so let’s go ahead and try this one first thing I notice on the box is that there is no company name on it which I think is kind of strange. Usually you’ll see something it says 3d pen in big letters. But I don’t see anywhere where it says Tip I so that’s a little strange, but let’s go ahead and open it up and see what is inside alright.

So We Got The Plastic Cover Off And

the box is really nice. It opens up pretty nicely. We We got instructions with multiple languages on here and as you can see they’re pretty well detailed next. We have the actual 3d pen. The pen.

It Feels Pretty Light Kind Of

like plastic and it’s it’s similar to my other 3d pen that I have but you have your power and where you put the filament. So it comes with a power cord and it’s not very long. I wish it would be longer but and then the power connector extra filament. I can see there and the actual stand for it. I think it stands actually a good feature for a 3d pen.

None Of My Other Two 3D Prints

came with a stand so that’s kind of a nice feature. Alright so let’s go ahead and plug it in and discuss how it works so it uses a UK on the top you just go ahead and. Plug that in and I really wish that the cord was longer. I had to use a UK extender on it alright. So once it’s plugged in.

We Use The Speed Control Button To Actually

set from UK to UK. Just like so and once we pick our settings and we go ahead and click on this button right here, which is the extruder and it starts to heat it up now notice that the light is an orange kind of red, which means it’s not ready so we have to wait until that light turns green before we can put any filament in it. What I found was this pen takes about two and a half minutes to heat up Pete for UK and the buttons green so now we’re good and so we insert the filament into this area right here and then we hit the bottom button. For X to extrude the plastic and it’s gone in and it takes it a little bit to actually go in and make sure that you set the speed setting to three. That is the quickest settings that you can set.

So The The Three Settings That

you can have is three two and one and that’s the speeds some one being the slowest three being the fastest okay so once it’s extruded we hit that button again and it stops extruding and so right here again. We have our two R1 and our three setting three settings again is the fastest and I’m gonna go ahead and use two to kind of test it and one thing that’s different than any of the other 3d pens I’ve ever used is when you click the extrude button. It’s not a press and hold it’s a press and it goes then. You press to stop it again, so it’s a to press button now to press and hold alright so let’s go ahead and try to doodle something real quick and see how it turns out. I’m going to try to use multiple colors and see how well.

It Works All Right So Thats My

creation right here. I am UK an artist at all but that’s what these 3d pens is are kind of known for is just to kind of create something fun or creative or I don’t know it’s. It’s mainly kind of for kids where it’s geared towards but I want to show you what I use a 3d pen before I use it to actually weld or repair my 3d prints and just for an example. I’m gonna take these two benches here because I have hundreds of them and I’m gonna go ahead and weld. them together and I’m gonna use blue so then you can actually see how the it actually weld zone and this this approach is kind of nice because you don’t have to use glue and welding them together actually holds them really well.

Theyre Pretty Strong Alright.

So I’m going to go ahead and just put it on the second setting so it’s at the second speed and I’m just gonna slowly weld these together now. The purpose of this demonstration is just to show you an alternative to glue and how strong these welds are okay so to get a good weld. It took about a minute. I sped up the video so I’m not boring you guys too much, but I just wanted to show you how strong.

This Is I Mean Im Not

putting my full strength in it, but I’m putting a good deal of strength. in it and they’re not coming apart and so these welds really hold and what you could do too is sand these welds as well and just making part of the print and so here I’m gonna go ahead and repair one of my 3d printed planes that I did for my kids and go ahead and do that now I have an actual 3d printed UK and I have used this method to weld the wings together because it was in multiple pieces and I know this method works really well and actually makes it a stronger build So for this. I’m actually going to just stick the pen in between where I need a weld and I can’t get all the way around the circle part just because the pen is kind of just big and bulky, but I’m just gonna get as much of it as possible. And again I have it on setting too which is kind of a medium speed and just try to get as much of a weld as possible fill in any holes and it kind of just makes it look better too if you can fill those gaps all right so now that we’re done. I’ll show you kind of how strong it is now.

I Mean Its All Welded Pretty Good

and again you could sand down those welds and make it look a little more prettier, but this where my kids toy and I think they’ll break it in the next hour or so anyway so I’ll be doing this again but yeah so that you can actually repair your prints and that’s what I mainly use 3d pens for when my kids are older. I’m sure they’re gonna do a little with it and they’re gonna love it. So my final thoughts on this pen is it works really well. It’s really super simple and like I said I you mainly use it to weld these parts together because it’s really strong what I really like about it is it has a stand. It works really well and it has a good retraction setting-so when you’re extruding and then you want it to stop it retracts it a little bit and it stops extruding and it doesn’t leave a whole mess of filament.

colors that are in the background. That is a separate package and I think it’s 15 dollars for all those colors and that’s a really good deal, especially if you’re gonna do a little with it or you got different models with different colors and you want to weld them all together and so yeah so. So final thoughts I really like the pen 1 Con is that it does take a while to heat up and the cord is kind of short, so you might need to get a UK extender for it but other than that it’s a super simple pen. It works it works really well. Actually I like the stand I’m able to weld my prints together you’ll be seeing this in future videos.

Its Definitely A Keeper And The Price

as right now is $39.99 on Amazon which isn’t too bad for more of a higher-quality 3d pen and again it works great for repairing your prints. It works great for just dueling all in all I would recommend the pen alright so that concludes my video. If your want some more information on this 3d pen I will leave the tip I website down below as well as a link.
